So easy!

Turbo tax makes even the most complicated of tax situations a breeze. You don't have to be a tax accountant to understand your taxes. You just answer the straightforward questions and the program does all the work for you!
What's great about it: Step by step questions in everyday language - not "tax speak" or "legal-eez"
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

Why pay somebody????

This year Turbo Tax seemed even easier than in the previous years I've used it. Not sure if it is because of my familiarity with the product or they just are doing a super job of guiding me through the process. Every category brought up all my deductions, income sources, etc. The State return was very simple too transferring the applicable data from the Federal and asking the extra questions that differed. I just don't know why anyone would pay someone to do their taxes!
What's great about it: Great drop-down menus and definitions of unfamiliar terms
What's not so great: Hard to come up with any.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Ease of preparation

Every year before TurboTax I was anxious when having our taxes done by someone else...especially when we sold or bought houses.
Since using TurboTax, I have become more organized regarding data the program requires. This makes it much less painful to complete the task in record time.

Made my tax return simple to do. Done in a little over an hour with the whole thing. I was worried when my tax professional retired, but I am confident with this program I will never need to rely on someone else to do my taxes again.
What's great about it: Easy to use, makes taxes less intimidating

paid for state but didnt get it

dont buy the disc it doesnt work, downloading from internet is better,wish i wouldve done that instead
