Great program, don't pay someone to do your taxes.

Outstanding!!!!!! Take the time to do your own taxes, don't pay someone all that money, because all they are doing is using a program to do what you can do for yourself. And guess what they maybe be using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: It walks you all the way to completion

Very Disappointed this year

I love TurboTax but its either the tax code or the software, but this year was not a good experience. First, it crashed on my Mac (I keep the OS up to date) and not just in a regular crash, but every time i resurrected the program, it went back to a different previously saved spot automatically. I could tell because my refund amount (I was almost done when it crashed) kept going lower every time I restarted it. Eventually, it just quit all together and I had to re-download and re-install.
Had lots of problems validating the state return also this year, and "Help" and "Whats This" were useless. Even on the Federal return, I found "Whats This" to be much less helpful than last year.
I'll give it one more try next year, but if the experience does not improve, i'm trying another software after 5 years plus.
What's great about it: Transfered last years info. User interface easy to use
What's not so great: Crashed on Mac taking all info with it. "Whats this" much less helpful this year

Overall easy to use...best I've found out of several different tax programs.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I don't do state through Turbo Tax but had to get my PIN to clear an error

Simple, Fast, Easy

I did my taxes manually last year and I would give myself a grade of C. One of my states said I filed my taxes wrong and I had to give the state some of my refund back. It took me a long time to file both my federal and multiple state returns. This year I decided to try Turbo Tax and I think it was worth it. It took me about two hours to do all my taxes. When I did it manually last year I think it took me two days.
What's great about it: Simple, Fast, Easy. Doing federal and states together seamlessly.
What's not so great: Fees

Faster and still easy to use

On first time start of Turbo Tax it took time to start-up but from there on it started back up quickly. The slow start every time was terrible before but this time is was fast start. This will keep me using Turbo Tax.
Everything else appeared to be the same as before so no complaints or noticable changes.
What's great about it: Finally it is fast not slow as a snail
What's not so great: It kept going to the 'Provide Contact Info' which I did not want to use

I've been using Turbotax for many years and it's always very easy to use and breaks everything down so nicely.

Every step is well described. Though it will take a little time for one to fully understand every facet of your return it still brings much to light. Taxes are almost enjoyable to do now!
