After living through a short sale of my home I was concerned with doing my own taxes. TurboTax made it very easy to input the information in all the right places!!

Great Tax Tool!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. I am thankful I am able to do my own taxes with this product and I can have confidence in my tax preparation. I need to try to update my Quicken software and see if I can leverage it to make taxes even easier next year.
What's great about it: Love the step by step instructions. I feel like they've led me through everything I need - without omissions.

Turbo Tax take the stress out of doing taxes. Simply follow the step by step process. Even if you are not sure if a step applies help is as simple as a click away.

2012 TurboTax federal/state

Filing's a definite pain (paying, even more so! -laugh-) but TurboTax has always made it easier! I've used it for more than 15 years & have always been happy with that part of the tax-return process. All things taken into account, I'd rather use Intuit's product than any other I've seen!
What's great about it: relational interoperability between fed/state
What's not so great: Interface a little less intuitive than previous years
Pros: I bought or sold investments

On occasion, when one wanted to go back and edit an entry, it was not obvious how to do the edit for anything but numbers. I think that could be improved upon.
What's great about it: relatively easy, although very involved
What's not so great: Since you say the state of Michigan prefers its residents to efile, then you should include it with the price.
