Surviving Taxes

While turbotax has certainly served me well over the years I can't say it has always been seamless. I had an error on my return and had no idea what to enter in the field I was provided. The help tool was far from helpful so hopefully I entered information correctly. If turbotax can provide the help and assistance it used to, I will continue to use it. I do appreciate the fact that I get a minute by minute view of my return $$ and I the wizard seems to run smoothly and quickly. I have only had issue when errors occur during my error check.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy, Nice WYSIWYG, Electronic Fililing
What's not so great: Help Options Very Limited, No real resource for Free assistance for simple questions

Would be nice if it could transfer from other than just 1 year old turbotax files.

Easy Peasy

The only negative was when I went back a couple of times and then tryed to go forward but went to a different spot. Just before I submitted, I went to the start and walked through. Saw a couple of screens for the first time. Weird. Also one W-2 had a company address in Detroit so assumption was made that we needed to fill a non-resident of Detroit form. Option was there though to fix that. Over all was very easy
What's great about it: Directions very clear
What's not so great: Going back messed up sometimes

Easy for Federal but not so easy for State

Had difficulty with online Updates and spent over an hour waiting for technical help. The Tech support was patient and friendly. Unfortunately, we could not fix for Error 42002 and had to do a manual update which took approx 20 minutes!

I did not care for the fact that I filed in 1 State, CA, and they charged me for it before I could file. Now I have to waste my time trying tto get a refund from TurboTax
