State Tax and RMD

I live in Washington State and we don't have a state tax. Turbo tax keeps asking me over and over again if I want to file a state return. Answering the question one time should be enough especially since this can be programed to realize I live in a no state tax state.
I did not make the RMD this year because of a hospitalization. Turbo Tax had me fill out a reason but did not send this to the IRS. Now what? Very Frustrating.

What's great about it: Asks about state tax. I RMD was not made in time, asks for an explaination to send to IRS
What's not so great: Even though I tell it I don't file a state Tax. It keeps asking me. DId NOT send RDM explaination to IRS

Start to Finish in under an hour

This year I knew I didn't have enough deductions to itemize. I was able to step right through in under an hour with no problems at all.
I have used Turbo Tax since it first come out. I thought I'd be smart a few years ago and get a cheaper product. I found out very quickly why it was cheaper. I've used Turbo Tax ever since and won't ever switch again!
What's great about it: No worries about math errors; No worries about getting it filed in time;
What's not so great: Wouldn't pull in my W-2; Continue button should be at top of page

Very nice

I have been using turbo tax for a few years with much success. I suppose taxes are complicated even with a program to help. I only owed a little bit and was sure i owed almost $1000 when i started but got below $50 when all was said and done. I couldn't tell exactly why inputting certain information did nothing and other information lowered how much i owed. This was the only problem i had. TurboTax said no errors and low audit risk, so I am inclined to trust them.
What's great about it: I liked how thorough the credits and deductions section was. Got me from owing over $900 to just $41!
What's not so great: The dollars kept dropping off but sometimes it was difficult to tell exactly why
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Hardly Taxing

I used to sweat the prospect of filling out the 1040ez each tax season because I knew it was the precursor to the more dreaded state form! My brother-in-law twisted my arm to try Turbo Tax a few years ago. There is twisting no more. I love how TT navigates the sea of tax code in human language. Potential deductions and taxables are explained so I know if they apply to me and my situation. The state software and e-file options are well worth the price for me.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and navigate
What's not so great: Would be nice to have check list up front of docs likely needed

Probably need to spend more than a few hours on April 15 to get the best advantage from turbotax. Helps to know accountant friends, they can help you move through the forms better, in ways not obvious to me.
What's great about it: Step by Step leads you through everything.
What's not so great: Sometimes just jumping to the form makes data entry easier-Step by step can be tedious..

Turbo Tax makes entering your tax information so easy when you just follow their step by step approach! There are sidebars which address specific questions and refer the taxpayer to IRS Publications for more information. I have used this system ever since it came out, and trust it completely for my tax preparation needs.
What's great about it: Easy to use with the step by step approach
What's not so great: Not sure I trust the Audit Defense Services
