Easy to follow steps

We entered our info into both Turbo tax and H&R Block this year, we tried H&R Block first, but the instructions were not as detailed and it was much harder to enter and correct things. Turbo Tax was much easier to use with step by step instructions.

I'VE USED TURBO TAX FOR MANY YEARS AND FIND IT VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND USE PLUS THE PRICE IS GREAT.
What's great about it: IT MAKES FILING MY TAXES EASY AND I CAN DO IT ON MY TIME
What's not so great: THERE ARE NO CONS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax gets me the cash!!

I love Turbo Tax. This year it found several new credits and deductions due to a change in income from last year. I am getting my largest refund ever!! Almost $3000 and boy do I need it right now! I am thrilled, I have used Turbo Tax for probably 6 years now and have no plans on using any other tax software in the future!!

What's great about it: Very easy to use, very easy to itemize which maximizes refunds

Quick and Easy

It was so easy even my wife could do it. In fact she did some of it! It asks easy questions to answer and it was done very quickly. Reviewing at the end is also very quick and easy.
What's great about it: It was quick and easy
What's not so great: You always want a bigger refund

Scrolling

The only thing I didn't like was having to scroll when adding additional income or deductions. After entering for a particular area, you are routed back to the list and then need to scroll down to the button to add another area of income or deductions. It would be nice if it returned to the bottom of the form and not the top. You would see and be able to confirm what you entered last and then go to th next section.

Only one complaint

In general this is a very good product. I have been using Turbo Tax for a number of years without encountering any errors. Navigation is good in the step-by-step mode, allowing you to skip areas that are not pertinent.
I have only one complaint. When you run error check, if there is an error, it shows the IRS form rather than referring back to the step by step where the information was entered. I had marked a couple of things as estimates, knowing I would have to address them when I ran the error check. But when I did the error check, I had to navigate around the forms to figure out what was showing as estimated and where I had entered it.
What's great about it: Good answers to questions; accurate filings
What's not so great: Error review only shows forms

I have used Turbo Tax for close to 10 years and find it very user friendly. You can do your complete 1040 form in a few hours as long as you have your documents ready. If you're like me and find a few you missed or thought you had, it's easy to save and pick up where you left off the next day, week or whenever, One little benefit - it's also good to have as a resource for future credit or banking documents. It's easy to reprint documents or double check past information as you may need - especially for loan/banking documents. I recommend it to all my friends and family.
What's great about it: very easy to follow and a good double check for typo's
What's not so great: some sections and processes take to long and should be more automatic

Turbo tax is easy to use. It walks you through each step of the various forms needed to file both federal and state returns.
What's great about it: Makes filling easy
