If Turbo-Tax wasn't tax software, I'd be delighted with it. I use it every year because it imports and uses just about everything it can from previous years, and because once past the time and effort to collect and organize income and deduction documention, TurboTax makes tax prep and filing easy. I really like that it can easily import electronic W2s, and the convenience and clarity of It's Deductible.
I ran into some difficulty this year while filing an amended return for my son, which we had e-filed before I realized I can't count him as a dependent this year. The amended return process is clunky and didn't work well with 1040EZ, with a circular complaint from the error checker. I had to manually correct 1040x in the forms view (which worked well).
What's great about it: Complete for most circumstances, easy to navigate, inspires confidence. W2 import, It's Deductible.
What's not so great: Less-often used features ambiguous or buggy.

I have been using TurboTax for the past 10 years and I've never found doing my federal and state taxes so easy. It guides me through the process in a very easy to follow format. Transferring last year's data to this year's return saves a LOT of time and increases accuracy. I have never used another tax preparation software nor will I. TurboTax has it all for me!
What's great about it: very simple to use, transfers prior year's data error free, easy step by step instructions.
What's not so great: Nothing

When adding info for Home Office deductions, TT requests the same info I had already typed in; Mortgage Interest, Taxes paid for my home.

Quick and Easy

Would highly recommend it to the novice as well as to the expert, guides you through each section. /the expertise and inquisitive nature gives you great comfort in the integrety of the product and process. I have used this for the last 12 years +

Great for Procrastinators

I waited until the last week to pull all of my information together. Even though it was not always in the right place on Quicken, I was able to find what I needed quickly because TurboTax asks the right questions to remind me for what I should be looking.

We have been using T-Tax since 2002 and for most part we have no complaints. When i had a question I hated going through some FAQ that was not specific to my question but I still recommend the program
