2012 Turbo Tax

Why does it cost for state return? Couldn't open 2011 return!!!!! to review and compare as I have in the past.
What's great about it: Carry over form last years return
What's not so great: I could not open 2011 return but I could open 2010
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Software that works for me

I have used TurboTax for as long as it has been on the market. Every year it gets better. Improvements have been made to make it easier to use and to make available resources to answer the questions that usually come up while doing taxes.
What's great about it: Consistently the best way to do taxes

Great Product

Great product. Easy to enter data or import from other sources. Walks you through all the items so that you do not forget something. The only drawback (minor really) is that the continue button is always at the bottom of the screen (you have to scroll down and you might have to go quite a ways if you have a lot of forms and various sections), would be nice (for repeat users) to have this button at the top of the screen also.
What's great about it: Made entry of data easy and quick, pull in data from prior year making data entry even easier.
What's not so great: Would like the continue buttom at the top of the screen rather than the bottom.

All in one package. All the forms I needed were available at the click of a mouse. Each step was carefully covered and any questions could be easily answered or the program steered me in the right direction to get the answers. I really like the review process and checks and balances the program goes through to ensure all the bases are covered and nothing is missed. I will be a return user.
What's great about it: Walked me through each step and maximized my return

TurboTax2012 Review

I have used TurboTax for the better part of 3 decades. It has improved each year. The only small thing I would change is the way the Section Summary page functions. As you complete each Income or Deduction subsection, the window resets to the top instead of leaving the section you've just completed, at the top of the page. So each time you complete a section, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom again to start the next section review.
The Help sections were better this year - or I used them more.

I am not great at writing reviews, all I can tell you is that it was quick and easy to understand. I felt confident that I was asked the correct questions, and got the best return.

I have been using Turbo Tax for ten years now and I have not had any problems except one and that was quickly fixed by your support team. I love your software.

Turbo tax is the best!

I have used Turbo Tax for for the last 6 years and it works great. I procrastinate because I usaually have to pay.
I really like the poitive questions they ask to help you along the way.
