comfortable and confident

I have used Turbo Tax for years and it's the best way to complete your taxes if your not an accountant! I have a handy man business and I'm not a rocket scientist but I have yet to be fearful of an audit! The Audit meter is very helpful and there is plenty of advise for you as you go along the way.
What's great about it: excelent interface helpful hints and plenty of explanations
What's not so great: if you delete a form it remains in the tax work up and you have errors

2012 turbo tax

Have used t-taxforyears.Got stuck in a loup with k1when trying to delete an old k1.
What's great about it: Did the job in the end
What's not so great: Much harde rto use than inthe past

Wow, what can be written to convey this truly amazing simple and easy to use tax filing product. I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and each and every year the Intuit team make programming advances that are truly outstanding. The whole Intuit team should be proud of their craftsmanship and attention to detail!
What's great about it: Succint, Efficient & Informative - OH SO EASY!
What's not so great: Possibly too many advertisements for other Inuit products

A few problems

I had a hard time installing the software because of firewalls, carbonite, and antivirus scanning. I turned them all off but it wouldn't install. I had to restart my computer several times, turn off the Norton and Carbonite software each time, and it finally installed. There was not a detailed form provided for a California K-1 adjustment form which left me guessing which boxes and columns I was supposed to enter.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Installation Problems and Lack of details for State Return

Easy to see forms anytime, plus softwareworksheets

Used 2012 version for dau (has sole proprietorship, Sched C), for sister-in-law just widowed, for neice with many deductions, medical bills, and donations. All variations put step-by-step details in correct place. I was also able to override worksheets' entries on the actual IRS forms to make changes and explanations.
Had several donations to same locations, but could not enter "various" for dates of each donation. If I go to H&R BLock, I have no problem with "various" for donation dates. TurboTax required me to take over an hour to find donation dates based on when they were made per family's recollections #early, mid, or late part of a specific month#, and we had tried hard to remember specific dates. No receipts for donations in dropoff boxes, and had a lot of my bro' clothing donated since he passed away. We know we have dates pretty well correct within a few days. Big inconvenience, though.
What's great about it: Can work directly on forms , override software worksheets if not using step-by-step
What's not so great: Donations don't accept "various" on dates for same charity

I love using turbo tax, the program is intuitive and really doesn't leave you guessing about what to do, I'm not big on doing taxes but turbo tax make everything simple.
