Much improved from previous years

in preparation to e-file I printed out the return for my records, returned to complete filing and discovered the last couple hour's work had not been saved. Return had regressed to what it had been last night. Had to reconstruct from the printed return to arrive, again, at the forms as they had been prepared to file. Then had to start over in the e-filing process. TT should save automatically every few minutes as it did last year.
How to handle foreign taxes paid--advice incomplete/unhelpful regarding application to A or to 1040 front page. I saved myself $700 by researching and adjusting only because I knew how it was handled last year.

What's great about it: fast, complete, no-hassle downloads of equity transactions (this was not the case in previous years), well organized
What's not so great: problem with automatic saving

Another Year Bites the Dust

As usual, Turbo Tax Deluxe handled entries from 2 K-1's, a variety of small investment tax transactions without too much trouble. One small question sent me after help. A problem with section 179 depreciation demanded a recharacterization. I could not get it to work, even though the message said I must. After some minor frustration I decided to try to file the taxes anyway. Instantly the right form came up to make the changes needed. Wish I had known the form was just ahead, but you didn't tell me that at all. Otherwise, a great experience!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is efficient and quick. It is fairly easy to navigate and get what you need.
What's not so great: The help can be confusing sometimes when looking for something complex.

I love that I can do my taxes from home and not be bothered by someone trying to sell me additional options and extra coverage.
What's great about it: easy prompts to follow, simple directions, and explanation of process
What's not so great: no personal consultation of what other options might be

Radically relieved about my refund!!!

My husband and I have enjoyed doing our taxes through TurboTax now for over 5 years!! We used to have to bring all our paperwork to a "tax preparation service" and if we forgot anything, we'd have to reschedule our appointment!! Now we can take our time, take turns (as I have a small business with my own deductions), or do them together especially if I have questions.
Thank you for being in service for all the years we've been with you!! You make doing taxes a joy and not a burden!!
Looking forward to another great year of filing in 2014!!
What's great about it: Love how I could choose to "walk thru" the filing or be escorted by your computer generated escort!
What's not so great: The scare of our refund money at one point being in red!! Almost felt like I was doing something wrong!!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy software to use, and better than paying a stranger that doesn't know anything about you.

What's not so great: should have better breakdowns in some deductable areas

Best thing was the support expierence I had...
I dislike that if I have to revisit a section, it forgets I had already visited other sections and doesn't put me back where I was or asks me questions again when I move forward after I've answered them.
What's great about it: Support issue resolved quickly, easy to use,
What's not so great: it's easy to get lost if you have to revisit a section.

I have recomended this program to many others! It works awesome, my only regret is I was not able to file my state refund.

What's not so great: I couldnt file my state.
