Easy, Fast, Excellent!

It is a great program for first users. Does not make you feel ignorant because it guides through out the entire way and actually makes you feel proud of yourself at the end!
What's great about it: Guidance, easy to understand

Great Product

I've used turbo tax for many years now and enjoy using this product suite. Furthermore, I'm teaching my children how to use it as well since most of them have jobs now. Just wish the state e-file was free.

Perfect until right near the end...

Everything went smoothly for the umpteenth year in a row in preparing the return. However, when I went to file (Fed and state together), TT got hung in some weird loop asking me again and again the same sequence of questions. It ultimately crashed, and when I restarted it, I set it to do Federal only. The rest of the process went fine, filed my state return, and everything was acknowledged. The IRS accepted the return almost immediately. State is still pending (it's only been 20 hours).
I'm still a huge fan of TT. Will be using it as long as the IRS requires a return.
What's great about it: Easy to use, switching back and forth to Forms helps
What's not so great: Filing is a little clumsy and loops oddly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to navigate - instructions in plain English!

I will definitely use TurboTax again next year. It was all that I expected as a first-time user - helpful, concise - a real time-saver!
What's great about it: Smooth, focused, concise, clear process. Did not waste time! Excellent software clearly written with the user in mind.
What's not so great: Really no "cons" - excellent software and a pleasure to work with it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Saved me a bunch

Turbo Tax reminded me of credits and deductions that I had overlooked saving me about $ 300. Even though I had to pay, Turbo Tax kept the amount to a minimum

Painles and Easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years. Each year they improve the program to make things easier and easier. I really like doing my taxes myself, and Turbo Tax removes the fears I have of missing a deduction and not getting as much as possible back from the government. Every little bit helps!
What's great about it: Easy Guide explains everything I didn't understand
What's not so great: I really can't think of any cons
