quick & easy

Turbo Tax guides your every step. I like the up-to-minute refund status at the top of the screen.
I have tried other programs in the past, but really like the ease of Turbo Tax.

I have used Turbo Tax several times now, and each year it gets easier and easier to get all the refund earned. The easy flow and drop down windows create a relaxed appraoch to filing. I just open my files at my desk and enter the amounts asked for. Quick, easy, and my return is directly deposited. Turbo Tax has taken the stress out of doing my own taxes even with itemized deductions. No need for an accountant. That is even more money saved. Thanks!
What's great about it: All the trusted features of Turbo Tax were there as well as updated ones.
What's not so great: There are none...

There should be an updates log that the software could check when loading, and only ask to check for updates if there has been any updates made on after the last update made as per the date on the log.
What's great about it: Very detail oriented.
What's not so great: A bit pricey.

Generally helpful -- efile horrible

Tried e-file: very frustrating. Return had already passed various reviews and checking within TurboTax ... then we get to the "last step" of the e-file, "this is like putting the envelope in the mailbox, no going back" --- and the program starts finding minor errors! (a bad zip code on the charitable contributions form, a missing amount on a worksheet which didn't even apply). This is terrible!

This is the second time we've had this kind of problem with e-file. We'll continue with paper copies.
What's great about it: Lots of good guidance thru the forms. Good carryover from last year.
What's not so great: sometimes hard to get back to the raw data to examine or fix something

Great Product - Use It Every Year

This is a great product. I've used it for years, through two different businesses, and have gotten a refund every single year.
What's great about it: Taxes are Easy as Peach Pie
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Finally Done!

Usually pleased with Turbo Tax. Have used it for several years. But this year it was a trial! Had totally finished my Federal and State returns and put them to bed without filing-wanted to review before filed. Opened today, April 15th of course and work was NOT saved! When Iexited the program last night it did not save my work and I had to spend another day entering all the info I had entered the day before. Very trying....tried relaxation breathing and that helped a little :)
Done now though and e-filing is great.

However, it doesn't seem intuitive enough even for a return user. It will be helpful if you could incorporate hyperlinks with help tips as the user navigates the process.
Sometimes, it feels like you are alone until you remember to check the help menus.
If would however be better to anticipate areas where a help hint could pop-up as the user hovers over some of the line items.
Experienced users can opt out of this hints, just like pop-up blocker.
However, i am satisfied after at least 6 hours
