accurate and speedy tax time

In all honesty we have been using turbo tax for the last 10 yrs. I like that it flows easily from topic to topic and I like that it will allow u to try to find ways on increasing your return. I am not the savviest with technology and i trust and feel comfortable using turbo tax. I also like that it does save the consumer money because you are pocketing the savings by not hiring an outsider to prepare your taxes. It is reliable and we will continue to use turbo tax!
What's great about it: guided prompts that flow easily, user friendly even for people who arent comfortable with tech.checks to help u maximize
What's not so great: needs more explanation on how to correct errors

some sums do not make sense. Some do not match the real sum. Some add improper numbers.
some numbers are not pulled off downloaded forms.
Keep having to re-enter answers and numbers when I go back to edit/review.
too often have to go to web to answer simple questions
hard to navigate
said 3 thinks to review, and there was only one
did not recognize Florida has no income tax
difficult to find/edit/review Detroit income tax, as it was buried as if part of michigan, and not its own

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Tool

I've been using Turbo Tax for more years than I can recall, but at least 12 or 13 years. It has been a great experience and took the stress out of the old way of getting the forms, tax books, learning all the rules. Also it is more affordable than hiring an accountant, and the e-file makes it most simple to deal with. No muss, no fuss, no envelopes or stamps or rushing to the post office at the last minute. Now I can e-file at the last minute if I want. Great tool!
What's great about it: Ease of use, step by step to end.
What's not so great: None I can think of.

Got through Tax season again!

I have been using TurboTax to do my taxes for many years. The product continues to improve. I like that the Easy Guide will ask all the questions and then calaculate whether it applies to your tax situation. Some descriptions could be a little clearer. I found myself going to the IRS documentation and then having to wade through the IRS speak to figure out how to report some things.
What's great about it: Pull in information from last year; points out areas to review
What's not so great: So of the explanations could be a little clearer

Maken it easy

I remember taking hours with the old paper forms. With Turbo tax it is fast, easy to follow, and accurate. You can't beat it.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax makes the process a piece of cake
What's not so great: seem to remember getting copies w2s electronicly downloaded in the past

The one year we did not use Turbo Tax, we got slapped hard by IRS - that was using a tax professional. Here, we have had no problems - although it gets confusing at times.
What's great about it: Ease, concise, fullu explained - Used for past 6 yrs

This is the first time we have done our taxes ourselves, and it was much easier than we thought! I feel like we got our maximum refund!
