Simply the Best

Since 1999, I've used Turbo Tax to file. Never had I had a complaint come to mind and the ease of which you load and then use this product has ALWAYS been outstanding. The fact it updates itself with a mere keystroke from me makes it even sweeter. As long as I have updated, I've never been wrong. It is a highly recommended item at tax time and before!
What's great about it: ease, self updating, gentle guidance, outstanding product
What's not so great: I have yet to find one other than for those years it says I owe the Feds $....

Extremely Happy with Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for more than 5 years and I love it. My nephew and niece help me with it. It has been fairly simple, fast and relatively inexpensive compared to going to an accountant. I don't really know if I am getting all of the money back that I am supposed to but at least I am getting some back. Taxes are soo confusing and Turbo Tax helps take away much of the frustration I feel when thinking and trying to do tax returns.
What's great about it: Easy, fast, inexpensive
What's not so great: I don't understand some of the questions and the explanations are confusing.

Made Me A New Fan

Easy use guide was extremely helpful in the step by step process, re-entering to continue working after gathering more information a plus, "what's this" icons was amazing at clearing up confusing areas. I was afraid to use and totally trust the TurboTax software at first, but now the assistance available in all ten areas caused me to calm down and work
patiently through each phase. I had to go in and out of the program over several day to locate information, and I was able to review what was entered and enter new data. I found some tax breaks that I had not thought about. Overall, TurboTax will have me telling others of my positive experience.

Saved my Sight

Turbo Tax saved me many hours of trying to figure out complicated forms. I like the question and answer format. It helped me to get the most out of my refund. Some of the questions can be annoying to answer over and over but overall it's a winner. I've used it every year for over a decade.
What's great about it: TT does all the calculations for me and is acurate
What's not so great: Don't like having to answer the same questions over and over when I review a section.

i found the deluxe version difficult to use for independent contractors. business expense should not be that difficult to enter and follow.

I had a relatively complicated return this year because we moved and ended up filing two state tax returns.
On one of the returns, TT calculated too low a figure for one of the states. If I hadn't known it looked off, I would not have gone back to that state's instructions for part-year residents and would have had a much lower tax bill, but also would have risked having to pay more taxes plus interest & penalties later.
Bottom line, TT is great, but doesn't replace a bit of informed skepticism.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Have to know enough that you can recognize when something looks off
