Good Experience

The review of both the federal and state came up with errors. The Federal was fairly easy to figure out and correct. In the Virginia state review it only gave me a form number, the page and a request for last years amount for "SP credit" I got my 2011 tax Turbo Tax forms out and couldn't find what was asked for. I went back to the sections in the 2012 suevey and couldn't figure out what they were looking for and finally got on the VA website to find the form and determined since I didn't have the form in my 2011 tax submission, last year's "SP credit" must have been zero.
What's great about it: Took me through the possible facts and helped my get an excellent return
What's not so great: On Virginia forms check only gave me scant explanation of what and where the error was without taking me to the form.

Easy, as usual

This year we had enough business expenses to claim them on our Schedule A. I found finding the correct place to claim them confusing. Like many professionals we have educational expenses to keep our licenses and differentiating between them and the actual cost of the licenses was unclear. Also you could find a better way to title "Professional subscriptions." Perhaps Professional Association fees and costs.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is organized, and easy to follow.
What's not so great: The business expense deductions were cofusing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

have been using turbo tax for many years and it's the only tax software for me. everyone in my family uses it, it's great for us last minute filers.

Another Banner Year

Great program. Been using it for going on 18 years. Keeps all the data from last year. Had a problem this year on state. Checked the wrong block and took me a while to navigate to the forms and fix it. But, I finally did. All worked out in the end.
What's great about it: Love the interview process
What's not so great: Moving to the foroms is sometimes confusing

Great for Procrastinators

Turbo Tax is great for those who wait till the last minute, and for those who like to keep their financial information personal (i.e.- not share it with random strangers, though they're certified...).
What's great about it: Do-it-yourself
What's not so great: Takes a while

Easy to do by following TT step by step but could change things and go back when I needed to. Telephone conversation with TT professional was very helpful,,, he went the extra mile to assist me with my return.
What's great about it: Easy to use, thorough, found errors and deductions for me.

First timer - piece of cake!

TurboTax made my first tax filing experience very quick and easy, although I'm not sure exactly what aspects of the process I didn't see. I guess I'm cool with that.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: Not really sure what I missed

This was the first year that I owed taxes when using Turbo Tax and I was nervous I had made a mistake. Turbo Tax made me feel confident that I had done everything correct by running error checks and offering tax advice.
What's great about it: walked me through step by step
