I got tired and fustrated because it took forever having to use someone's PC and enter everything myself. My MAC is old but my husband's is only 4 years old. Why would it not work for us?
What's great about it: Much better than paying a fortune for something I can do at home.
What's not so great: It wouldn't work on my MAC this year so could not use last years info. Tried a newer MAC. Didn't work. Had to use a PC.

Had trouble

Had mega trouble getting to the Print my return. All the information was terribly misleading, not giving me direct answers. Didn't have this trouble in past years so if you changed the process, change it back!!!
What's great about it: Order of asking questions as I worked thru the return
What's not so great: Hated the try to print out or save a return

Trouble

I have had Turbo Tax for at least 6 or 7 years and never had trouble of any kind, but, this year, printing and saving copies was a mess. Directions were not clear. If you changed it for the better, it didn't work. Please change it back!!

Please see IL NR Line 42 - you can not leave blank nor can you put 0. The program will not let you efile because of this.

I've used TurboTax for several years now. I've found it straight forward and easy to follow.
What's great about it: easy to use, clearly understood

Solid product

TurboTax 2012 is a good solid product. The process was thorough and helpful. Only issue with the product is that some times it's easy to get lost in the menus as you are going through the filing process. Having to scroll to the bottom of the "list" every time you complete a section of the return can be concerning, but not a major issue.
What's great about it: Very thorough
What's not so great: Can get lost in menus
