Amazingly, TurboTat actually makes tax prep fun!

The straightforward approach makes tax prep generally easy. Other than the fact that a given TurboTax version cannot open previous years' calculations, I can think of no better way to reliably prepare tax returns while actually learning the law and what to do the next year to improve one's situation.
I like that I can go forward, interrupt, come back later, change things, do what-ifs, etc. I also have a ready record forever.
I prepared my own taxes the long, manual paper-and-pencil way for years. Switched to an accountant once, which cost me money but didn't save me any time. When I realized that that accountant was using TurboTax, I tried it myself and have never gone back.
What's great about it: Thorough, step-by-step process
What's not so great: Cannot streamline info collecting; also would be nice if each TurboTax version would still open previous years' returns.

This is my 3rd or fourth year and i ahve been very happy with product. hope to continue using and may nee some thing extra for my senior years.

I have been recommending TurboTax for many years - actually, from the first time I used it. It is simple to use and makes me more confident that I am filing my returns accurately and with the most deductions that I am entitles to have.
What's great about it: Step by step and easy to follow - and I can keep going back to check; can do this day or NIGHT

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now. We got a new computer this year and all of previous years were on the computer that broke, we thought we were done.
As soon as I popped in the this years turbo tax disc....boom, all of our information was there. LOVE YOU TURBO TAX

As an older,retired and not very computer literate person, using Turbotax was a big jump for me. My son assisted and gave support and now feels that I am ready to enter the 20th Century. Perhaps next year I can make the transition to the 21st Century.
The format was easy to understand and options for help were available throughout the entire process. Thank heavens--if it had been very confusing I would have had to take a hatchet to the poor computer and would have run screaming through the streets. I'm sure the local paper would have run a story about "Crazy old woman is a victim of tax stress and runs amok in a usually quiet neighborhood".
Thanks to Turbotax, I am resting quietly on my patio with a nice glass of wine.
What's great about it: The format and instructions were easy to understand.
What's not so great: Initially, I felt very nervous using Turbotax.

Turbo Tax has always been a great buy and it has been easy, fast & accurate. It has great resources and Q&A information as well as FAQ's.
I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone.
