2012 Tubro Tax Review

Turbo Tax really worked well this year and my filing really went quickly. The FAQ answers were really helpful on a couple of occasions. Saved me lots of time. I have used Turbo Tax for several years and this year's was the best ever.
What's great about it: Really liked the ability to ask questions during the completion of the return and get instant answers. Really helped.
What's not so great: Really couldn't find any.

Turbo Tax rocks!

This is so easy to follow for beginners. It actually saves you lots of money and helps you plan for next year.
What's great about it: Asks you questions along the way making you aware of deductions you may have missed.
What's not so great: There is nothing to dislike. You are in good hands!

Was not looking forward to doing my taxes by myself for the first time ever, but it turned out to be one of the easiest things I have ever done.

Makes life so simple!

I'm no tax expert, by any means, but TurboTax makes me feel comfortable and confident in doing my own taxes. The step-by-step approach helps me make sure I have covered everything. So easy to use!
What's great about it: The way it walks me through every step makes me feel like I've covered all the bases, and saves me a ton of time.
What's not so great: I miss the screen-specific help that used to be in the program.

In the past I have used an accountant, on line preparation and other software. I will stick with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Ease of use, confidence in result
What's not so great: None really
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

it seems tax programs in general are great if you are not self employed or do not have unearned income, or short term capital gains in stocks/options and/or real estate. I have them all. I got thru it, but what a pain.
What's great about it: i got it done
What's not so great: too browsey

I have been using turbo tax for a number of years. I like the easy step process of guiding me through income and expenses. I have encouraged many to use this program.
What's great about it: easy step is great!
What's not so great: was a bit difficult for me to bypass everything to find how to file an extension
