easy, peasy lemon squeezy

This product makes doing taxes so easy. I recommend it to everyone I know each year.
What's great about it: walks through everything in easy to understand language
What's not so great: can't think of anything
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Saving and importing information from the prior year really makes it easy. Also like that the tool compares stats from previous year.

This is one of the first years I filed my taxes that I was able to do it in less than 30 minutes this is the best tool I've ever used.
What's great about it: fast , easy, helpful, fun to use
What's not so great: none

Trusty Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax provides finger-tip guidance. You don't have to link up to other sites for information. They guarantee their work. Filing is seamless for federal and state documents. No offense to any accountant but until you get over-complicated on your returns, Turbo Tax is the way to go.

Really like that you can review current tax year vs. previous tax year. This is especially helpful if things don't change much from year to year. It allows you to check very quickly if you missed anything.
What's great about it: Very simple point by point instructions to enter data - love the fact that it picks up the simple stuff year over year

Slick and quick.

I've been using TurboTax for years and love the ease and convenience. I like the way key previous year's information is automatically transferred to the current year, and I especially like the way all necessary forms are automatically included with all data rippling through and entered in the proper places on those forms.
I do wish it were easier to do "what if" tests. e.g., rather than go through the process of entering each and every deduction, I'd like to just enter a total for each deduction category initially (medical, taxes, charitable contributions, etc.) to see if itemizing might possibly be to my advantage, or whether I should just go with the standard deduction.
If I find I'm close to benefitting from itemizing, it would be an incentive to spend more time gathering information. If I'm not close, I'd know that quickly and realize I might as well skip the effort assembling all of those records/receipts.
What's great about it: Easy transfer of previous year's data. Ease of entry and automatic inclusion of all needed forms
What's not so great: Not as easy to do "what ifs" as I'd like

It Couldn't Be Easier!!!

I was always afraid to do my own taxes. But I will use it from now on. It will recommend this to everyone. It was so easy to use.
What's great about it: It was so easy to use!!!
What's not so great: There were a lot of steps and I had trouble paying for the State taxes.
