fulfilling Experience

Initially, I was very reluctant because i was filing so late and had always used an accountant. However, all my fears went away as soon as i started to navigate the forms with its precise information. I particularly liked that it crossed check each bit of information before moving forward and at the end did a final review. I felt that I got my money's worth and then some. The e-filing and confirmation is priceless. I am eagerly looking forward to 2013 taxes. Bring it on...
What's great about it: It was quite user friendly and was very easy to navigate I liked that it gave details on where i can find my numbers.
What's not so great: N/A
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Saved My Marriage?

I have used this program for many years and it constantly improves. It is very convenient to have our tax information from last year automatically imported into this years forms. Also it does the calculations for my husband's pension based on prior year returns.
I was able to do the taxes within 24 hours and file them. No more running to the Post Office.
When we needed supporting documents they were here at home - we did not have to transport them to an accountant (or scan and email them).
What's great about it: It is accessible, always on, very well organized, and I like the e-file feature.
What's not so great: A couple of times the explanations of obscure deductions or income required research on the web.

Time Saver

I have used turbotax for several years now and it has always been very easy completing my tax returns. I have also shown some of my family members how turbotax has made tax time none stress. Every year the folks at intuit have stayed current with all tax law changes and surgestions on what to watch for. This program makes my filing day fast and before I know it everything is done and I'm on my way to enjoying the day.
What's great about it: Process is fast and easy

Did not expect it!

Turbo tax is easy to use, very through, like to see the numbers change about your refund or if you owe. used for 7 years now.
What's great about it: All the questions for accuracy
What's not so great: takes time, but well worth it

Couldn't ask for more. This product: 1- holds your hand through every line of your tax return; 2- provides definitions to terms and concepts and features that give you information to allow you to respond appropriately; 3- provides opportunities for you to review your input; 4- completes multiple error checks; 5- can revert to manual input at any time in the process; 6-saves time by importing previous tax information; 7- makes it easy to file your return.
What's great about it: Step-by-step walk through and the Learn more - aids knowledge and accuracy.
What's not so great: Updating state software froze and required re-boot

Easy as 1-2-3!

As a previous tax package programmer, I highly recommend Turbo Tax. I have used Turbo Tax for well over a decade and trust it explicitly. The Easy Guide is an excellent trigger for remembering credits you are entitled to take on your return. Calculations are always accurate!

What's not so great: On transfer to State (VA): last 4 letters of last name are placed in SSN field along with SSN.

GREAT FOR LAST MINUTE FILING

ALWAYS SEEM TO FILE AT LAST MINUTE, THIS PROGRAM IS EASY, TRANSFERS INFO FROM PREVIOUS YEAR'S TAXES MAKING IT FAST AND LOVE THE E FILE.
