Awesome! Wish I hadn't waited until the last min!

This is the first year I have filed on my own in years. I did it once years ago and it seemed much more complicated. I won't be paying an accountant again for what took me all of 60 mins to complete (an dI suspect that was on the long end!).

All in all, a great program. Some data was lost when I changed computers this year, so I had to retype the names and addresses of charities to whom we donated this year. That wasted 20 mins. Still, the program answers so many questions that could only be answered by a couple of hours with a calculator to answer when filing manually. To be able to check out if I should bother with Tropical Storm Sandy loss forms took be only one minute with TurboTax. Without, I would have had to spend several hours accumulating receipts for our losses to find that we did not qualify. What a time savings! I've used TurboTax since leaving Computer Associates' tax prep software about 25 years ago! Again, thanks TurboTax!
What's great about it: fast
What's not so great: Changes to access of ItsDeductible caused wasted time & confusion

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 8 years started my service in Hawaii, then Oregon and now Washington in all cases I was able to proceed with confidence of filing in each or sometime multiple states and have found it to be easily supportive in the questions during the entry of each line to line items. Because I enjoy the simplicity of use I have referred my son and son in law to process their taxes by Turbo Tax and they have used the same service for their tax filing as well.

Turbo Tax came through again

We have used Turbo Tax for a number of years now. We keep coming back because it is a great way to do taxes. I can work on them for a while, and come back when it is more convenient and timely. TT automatically saves what I have done, so I have never been worried about losing the work I have put in. I like the fact that it makes me more involved than if I were to leave them with someone else. It helps me be more in tune with my tax situation from year to year. The best argument I can make came from last year when I inadvertently put in a wrong number value in one of the blanks. I would have sent it off owing the government more money than I thought. However, when the tax program ran through the "error check" segment it suggested I double check this amount, because it looked like an error. I went back and fixed the problem and turned my return completely around from owing money to getting a refund. I strongly suggest Turbo Tax for anyone who finds the tax return process intimidating and daunting.
What's great about it: It made the tax preparation process go relatively smoothly and painless.
What's not so great: This year's version is more detailed, but I believe it mirrors the tax return process-cumbersome.
