Fast Filie

It makes quick work of simple returns - convenient not to have to enter numbers by hand. Computes all of the numbers and puts them on the appropriate form and schedule without my having to worry about filling them all out. I have been using TurboTax for decade!
What's great about it: Quick and efficient

Overall a very easy process and so much so that doesnt take a whole lot of effort to get them done

I have used TurboTax for approximately 11 years. I believe it is the easiest tax software. I tried another tax software program, but it was not as user freindly as TurboTax. I will continue to use TurboTax...
What's great about it: The step-by-step guidance.
What's not so great: Had a quirk in the update...

Persistent problem handling gas and oil royalties

Last year (Tax year 2011) worked with Turbotax representative to get these tax items handled satisfactorily. A key issue is that Turbotax requires the rental and royalties to be handled separately, but glitches when I attempt to do so. This year, I finally gave up since the amounts of money involved are low for tax year 2012 and so I was left with "errors"
What's great about it: Generally worked fine, next year estimates seems easier this year
What's not so great: Still does not handle gas and oil royalties/rentals properly

I use this for my husband's and my joint federal and state return as well as our daughter's federal and state returns. Smooth - complete and full of resources and explanations if needed.

Many entries are double entered. I would prefer the product auto fill these numbers, and if they are different on the various forms, then allow me to overwrite them.
