Use it!! You won't regret it!!

Don't pay someone else to do your taxes, pay yourself and use TT instead. Your CPA is probably using TT to do your taxes for you! Cut out the middle man!!!
What's great about it: Quick, easy, streamlined
What's not so great: Can't think of one thing
Pros: I had a baby, I bought or sold investments

Loved how easy TurboTax makes doing taxes

TurboTax is an excellent tool for doing taxes. I would have given 5 Stars Excellent if my still supported Quicken 2010 Home & Business would have loaded directly to TurboTax 2012. No simple way found to do transfer via help on Quicken or TurboTax Help pages. I had to buy Quicken 2013 Home & Business, convert 2010 files to 2013, and finally I could load data to TurboTax. Ironic that a supported product wasn't able to perform this transfer. I had already planned on upgrading Quicken, just didn't want the expense during tax season.
What's great about it: Walk throughs reminds me of possible deductions I forgot
What's not so great: Only con was inability to import Quicken 2010 Home & Business

getting more difficult

OK, I have been using Turbo tax for 12-15 years now. The software is getting more difficult to navigate under the pretext of making it easier to use. If it's not broken don't fix it. I am a seasoned user and sometimes I have a hard time navigating this system. You don't need to change it every year just for the sake of change. Just change the tax law issues.
Also, the past 2 years the disk would not load and I had to call support for help. This should be a no brainer to load the disk. What is up with this?

Turbo Tax review

I have used TT for several years, the tax laws have changed, so had to be very careful with what I was doing. Hopefully I was doing it right with TT help.
What's great about it: eazy to use
What's not so great: had to search for SSA 1099

Generally Great. Should be able to file one state return electronically as Ohio allows free e-filing.
What's not so great: I had to remembr to enter deductions on Schedule E Forms manually

Tax preparer unlock

I was very pleased with this product. I had never done these type of programs before and had apprehensions. These fears were allayed once I started the tax preparations. I had to call your support unit for assistance because I had placed data in boxes where they did not belong. Notwithstanding the long wait by telephone, once I got to talk to a professional, it became sooooo easy to correct. The correction also came with an explanation of "why" it was wrong. I will be using Turbo-Tax from here on. Good Program!
What's great about it: ease of going through the entire program as a complete novice
What's not so great: perhaps going a little more in detail on definitions

Always painless

I believe this was our 15th year using Turbo Tax to file complete and file our returns. The ease of having all of our personal and prior year's data transferred in makes completion a snap. Best of all, the program does all the math - no checking and double checking to make sure all the numbers are entered correctly.
Once I had all my papers gathered, it took only a few hours to finish both Federal and State returns. I love Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Made sure I looked at everything necessary
