2012 turbo tax

turbo tax's federal portion has gotten easier/smoother over the years, although, i miss the ability to compare your taxes to others (which i either did not fall across this year or the feature has been removed from turbotax, not sure which). i used nc state product and apparently there was nothing left unanswered once the federal portion was complete because it did all the state form work behind the scenes. filing the state portion was not as smooth as normal - i e-filed the federal and mailed the state portion which i had to figure out as the software didn't flow smoothly through this process . good bye until next year.
What's great about it: ease of preparing federal taxes
What's not so great: state software - filing not as smooth as it was

Easy To use

I've used Turbo Tax for the last 7 years. It is easy to use, it transfers your info from year to year. I feel comfortable entering the info knowing that the software will check for errors and audit risk.
What's great about it: LIke the title says easy to use!
What's not so great: none

problems with problems

Turbo tax is generally great, but it took an hour to figure out how to fix a problem when I had twice entered the amount of "other income." I went on-line and found that others reported the same problem, but there wasn't an easy solution. Finally, I figured out how to go into the form directly and correct. But,it should have been much easier, for me and others.
What's great about it: fast, easy as long as all is entered well
What's not so great: it was difficult to correct a mistakenly twice-entered amount - wasted an hour!
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Easiest Refund!

Turbo tax makes doing your taxes a breeze. I am just an average American with one job and not much else so it is really easy to do my taxes and have done them with Turbotax for many years now. If you own lots of businesses and stock and other stuff you may be better off going to someone but either way I highly recommend TurboTax :) Thanks for my refund!

Easy as Pie!

I've used Turbo Tax for several years and I enjoy the easy guide through questions, getting you through each section with a series of questions without the frustration. If you have ever done this on paper without help, you know what I mean. I also like the check error which keeps me from making common mistakes or major ones.

Done for another year

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I have never had a problem with the accuracy of my returns. So, I trust the calculations. Turbo Tax keeps track of the law updates and reminds me to download them when they are available. I enjoy the convenience of doing my taxes at home with Turbo Tax guidance.
