Great software!

This is the only software I use and I would not ever use anything else! It gives me tips and answers to tax questions when I need them the most! The review at the end is the best tool of all. I would not switch even if I was given a free version of something else! Turbo Tax knocks all the others off the market! Way to go Turbo Tax!

Basics Ok, complicated, not so much

If you have income from a second state, turbo tax doesn't always transfer the info from your original federal forms. When you enter it by hand yourself, you don't really know if it is correct. They are difficult to get ahold of, and the canned responses don't apply. All in all, a waste of money for the second state, plus filing the second state.
What's great about it: It is easy to complete your federal taxes and one state
What's not so great: Second state info doesn't always transfer

The help screens are not much use to a non-tax expert. They need to quit assuming the reader understands their terminology and give far more explanation.
What's great about it: fairly intuitive
What's not so great: help is non-existant.

I am a retired CPA who has used Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember. Easy, reliable and efficient.
What's great about it: I appreciate the easy navigation and assistance at the touch of a button
What's not so great: If only Turbo Tax could dig through my paper files and prepare itself

I've been using Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember, and I will continue to use it. It's easy, it's accurate, and I hit the "send" button knowing I'm sending correct information. Never had a problem. I recommend this to all my friends.
What's great about it: Easy to use, get good refunds, confident it's accurate
What's not so great: Some state forms not available

Ineeded irs form 982, andcouldnt find it. I looked for it under forms, and got into a loop. found it on the
irs web site, filled it out, but still not sure if it got transmitted. I have used turbotx before, and have never had this sort of problem. I expected better.

Ecellent Product

Excellent product !! As a former Professional Tax Preparer, I recommend TurboTax to anyone who does not have an extremely complicated return. No matter the level of experience, TurboTax provides the avenue for a complete return.
What's great about it: Guides you through ALL areas of preparation, whether novice or experienced preparer
What's not so great: There is no provision to "print page" - often I would like to maintain an instruction or note that TurboTax provides
