I have used Turbo Tax every year for the past 10 years. I am always confident that I get the most up to date information.
What's great about it: asks relevant questions
What's not so great: have to have everything ready or you end up going backwards a lot

I always use turbo tax - like the transfer of last year's data, and results so I can compare the end results. easy to use, information is available if I have questions. Have not used the on-line helps, but have a fairly simple return.
What's great about it: like comprehensive, step by step through the weeds
What's not so great: only issue - when I went to renew the process-didn't bring me back to the exact spot I left off???

My taxes are a bit complicated and it did have refusal when I sent them in. I was able to get through my mistake. Thank you.
What's great about it: It saves me much time verses by hand because of my complicated taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

For the first time in many years I waited to the last minute to file my returns. Turbo Tax took me through step by step and helped me complete both my Federal and State returns with time to spare. I was expecting a refund, which I am due, and it is more than expected. Great product!
What's great about it: Walked me through all the details step by step and helped to not make mistakes with the review features. Great product!
What's not so great: None!

Overall good product for persons doing takes themselves. Good self-guided features and functionality. Only compliant is that some questions (requested information) lack detailed explanations on what and where to find answers. This is especially true on AMT tax section. For example, requests for information on esoteric pieces of AMT such as business related partnerships, etc. have no additional explanation on what this is for or even where to locate the information from previous year's return. A simple "find the data on line XX of previous year's 1040" would be a big help.
What's great about it: Self-guided functionality
What's not so great: Lack of detailed explanation (especially on where to find answers) to questions being asked.

Straightforward process

I have used Turbotax for decades. Every once in a while I tried another product, but kept returning (no pun intended) to Turbotax because of the ease of the user interface. The software offers the user a choice of a guided tour or freestyle completion, which is nice.
