Thoughts

I thought this was a more complicated process than in prior years. I also was not prepared to get my 2011 files so why not let me skip that step?
Like others, I wanted to know where I could add safe deposit box- just let me add it rather than question it. I was in the process of starting a business in 2012 but I didn't know how to account for those expenses therefor I may use an accountant next year.
A video about stocks and if you sold them or the company went out of business, or you received payment for fractional shares. Another reason I may go to an accountant next year.

So Quick, Simple, Easy!

Been using Turbo tax for 5 years and it's never let me down. Convienient when you consider how much the forms change year after year. Quick and Easy!
What's great about it: Failsafe details, Previous info stored for current filings to make it that much easier!
What's not so great: You get excited by the refund amount, until you file other w-2's.

saved me tons of money

I tried doing my taxes by myself and must have done something wrong because I just got a notice from Indiana saying I owed $5000 from 2010 & 2009. How can that be when TurboTax said I NEVER owed them more than $93. in the past. Now I have to fight the Government of Indiana telling them they are wrong. I've always done my Federal & Illinois tax thru TurboTax and have only NOT done my Indiana tax thru them because my printer was broken. TurboTax is a life & money saver!!!!! I'd recommend it to EVERYONE.
What's great about it: When I tried doing state taxes by myself Indiana said I owed them money. TurboTax said I owed nothing!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Best way to file taxes!

I have been using turbo tax since 1999. It is great to make all of your entries and if you forgot a deduction, you can add it and every total gets corrected that needs it. And if you are unsure about a new situation, you can usually find what you need with turbo tax help or guidance to where you can get the answer.
I wouldn't consider using anything else! It sure makes tax time a lot less complicated.

If a person can follow simple directions Turbo tax is the product you need. It virtually files your tax for you.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have found it getting progressively better. It serves up a little taste of frosting on an otherwise lemon based endeavor.
What's great about it: Much improved over the years. Makes impossible - possible!
What's not so great: Brought some stuff forward from previous years with no option to delete. Qualified/Nonqualified?
