Easy to use and understand. After many years using Turbo Tax, I would never go to a tax service and wait for them to do the same thing I can do with Turbo Tax much faster. Did my federal and state and my mom's federal and state in a four hour period!
What's great about it: have been using Turbo Tax for many yeas and love it!

Like a good procrastinator, I filed on the due date. Thank goodness for TurboTax. It was quick and easy.

Thorough work and sweet surprise

The screen presentation of the 2012 TurboTax product is very clear and calm. It is clear where to find features and options. The survey questions are very clearly stated. The product's internal controls and error checks are wonderful, so that you don't miss anything. Switching to forms is easy and reassuring. The option to get community or specialist support is reassuring also. I've been using TurboTax for more than a decade, and I don't need anything else. I have two points that may need clarification or improvement. I was again confused with when to print my tax return forms. I recommend that the form printing option prior to filing states that the PDF and printing options are repeated after (e-)filing, and that it may be better to wait until then. I was also surprised by the Refund processing fee. I don't recall this existed and it was not announced earlier on; only the State fee was announced earlier. I feel that for full disclosure both fees should be announced in the options for e-filing.
What's great about it: TurboTax is very clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly.
What's not so great: I would recommend that the print option before filing should indicate to wait with printing until after filing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I liked the side by side comparasion of this years as well as last years of taxes at the completion of the fed taxes that the older versions had (again. upom completion of the return.) Also like the bargraph showing where my taxes compared to my income among the gen pop and my income level.

2012 Turbo Tax Pretty Easy

Big pluses for using Turbo Tax: they guide you for filling out the necessary forms, and there is ample guidance. Also, if one has used TurboTax in prior years, one's information is carried over in the current year. This is especially helpful if one could not use the entirety of a tax savings in a previous year. (I had forgotten about this until I saw it carried over)! My only issue was that the tax benefit of having paid a foreign tax on foreign investments (mutual funds and individual stocks) did not seem to be prompted (on Form 1116) as automatically as all the other forms, although I think I finally completed the form and benefit properly.
What's great about it: Extensive prompts for each item
What's not so great: Form 1116 (foreign tax) was harder to use than other forms

I have been using Turbo for a number of years and enjoy the carry over of data from prior years.
What's great about it: Provided great help with process and asking all the right questions.

Been using it for 7 years now. I tell everyone to not waste money on an accountant because Turbo Tax will lead them through EVERYTHING! I feel confident in the results. It gets easier every year because ot the transfer of info from one year to the next
What's great about it: easy to follow directions, thourough
What's not so great: takes a lonf time the first year of use but easier subsequent years
