Quicken for 2012 Tax Preparation

I have used Turbo Tax for many years, it's easy, just follow the program requests as it leads you through the worksheets!
(1) Gather your tax forms, (2) Transfer the form info to the program worksheet questions (3) you should check as you go along that you have not made any typos or used information from the "wrong box" from your forms (4) the program will calculate your taxes and perform checks for your review (4) your final Tax statement will be presented to you for eFileing, then you can await your refund to be deposited!
What's great about it: Easy to use, follow the instructions and answer the questions.
What's not so great: None that I have encountered.

I have used TurboTax for over 10 years. The process is always fairly simple and easy to complete.
I would recommend TurboTax.

What's not so great: Had to hunt for information on a few non-common items

Been using TT for over 20 years.
Not always the best for stock related transactions like ESPP or RSU's unless you buy the upgraded versions (good up-marketing).
Still reliable.

Excellent Program

I have used the The Turbo Tax system for tghe past 3 years. I have never had a moments worry or concern about my results nor have I eve been audited. It is truly the easiest walk through of personal taxes I have even seen Thank you Turbo Tax for excellent service!

A wonderful exercise in examining the past year. Would help if you could alphabetize the charities and not ask so many questions. We need to be able to override some things, like the Fed. ID # of an employer if we don't have it. Also should tell you what forms you need after e-filing immediately, because I had already sent those off previously with the money.
What's great about it: First time using direct input from my broker - fantastic
What's not so great: Sometimes I think you want to know too much, like the address of every charity.

TurboTax continues to be my method of choice for tax season. Outstanding service, ease of use, excellent product/user support from a talented client services team - everything I need to maximize my return and eliminate tons of paperwork.

Simple and Easy Tax Prep

TurboTax is the easiest and most inexpensive way to complete and file taxes that I've found.
The only thing I'd like to see changed is the main step by step entry guide returns to the top of the screen after each type of entry. It should return to the bottom of screen to save a lot of unnecessary scrolling. Small annoyance.
Great product.

Turbo Tax

I have been a loyal turbo tax customer for the last 5 years. I will not be using the product next year due to the high prices of purchasing state downloads. It doubles the price of TurboTax if you need just one state and this year I needed two. I am confident the TurboTax target market is people like myself who need an easy and affordable way to file a relatively uncomplicated return, I don't own my own business or have investments to report or anything like that. TurboTax has priced itself out of this market, I am confident I could have my taxes prepared by an actual accountant for what I paid this year. The worst part perhaps is that none of the changes were indicated prior to me having already purchased and starting my tax return.
What's great about it: Easy Preparation
What's not so great: New Charges every year
