Makes odious task tolerable

Overall excellent product IMO. Especially, to paraphrase a popular past TV show, "We don't need instructions" and you just hop in to use of product and it still keeps you on the right path. Using a product 1-2 times a year doesn't lend itself to being up on the changes, so my bad for acting first, reading later.
What's great about it: Guidance on subjects - quick links to help is great. Accurate calculations. Print options at any time, thumbs up.
What's not so great: Income subject subsets unclear (to me) they are for both on Joint Return. Past exper. finish one entity then the other.

A Money Saver

I love the ease of turbo tax. I wasn't able to transfer my information from my previous turbo tax and was not happy about that, the chat line was so busy that i decided just to re-enter all the information. Everything aside, turbo tax has kept me away from tax prep people for a number of years and I will continue to use it. Makes you feel confident that you have not missed anything of importance.
What's great about it: fast, easy to understand, inexpensive
What's not so great: some trouble transferring data from previous turbo tax

Information not transfered

None of my prior years information was transfered to the 2012 application. I have been using this for years and all the information is now lost. I'm NOT happy with this product and now will move to other tax software next year since I'm starting over anyway.

I've been using TurboTax since 1996. I had just learned how to use a computer and figured out how to file my own taxes. At first, it was very time consuming. Over the years,. I learned so much about taxes and planning and finances! I can now do my taxes and my family and some friends quite quickly. I am confident and feel in control and smart. Thank you TurboTax for all of your HELP!!!
What's great about it: Simple, Accurate, a wonderful tool!
What's not so great: Takes some time.

If not TurboTax, then an Accountant

If you have all your paperwork in front of you, and you can answer simple questions, you'll have no problem completing your tax returns. Sometimes you may need to look up terminology if you're not an accounting major, but, other than that, TurboTax makes it simple to file your taxes. It certainly beats trying to navigate the paperwork by yourself, and it's cheaper than an accountant.
What's great about it: Easy to use, well organized.
What's not so great: Really? None that I could find.

Turbo-Charged!

I am a huge fan of TurboTax and have been using it for years now. I used to file taxes by doing them myself -- no more! This is the best program and easily walks you through every possible option. I love the fact that the previous information is pre-loaded -- saves a lot of time! All you need is your information at hand and you will be done in one (fairly-quick) session! Takes the headache out of filing...without a doubt.
What's great about it: Every aspect of the program
What's not so great: NONE
