Works best when all necessary information has been gathered and organized. Confusion can arise when going back to make additions and/or corrections. However the program does its best to explain the fix-its. It is easy to learn to use the program. People that I have helped in the past are now able to prepare their income tax return on their own now.
What's great about it: Clear directions
What's not so great: I had trouble making corrections when trying to change my input for a 1099-G

Can't be any easier

I've been a TurboTax user since 1992 and wouldn't do my taxes any other way. Every year it gets a little better but still keeps the familiar feel that is common to Intuit products. Granted my taxes are rather simple and straight forward, but I know several people with much more complicated returns (I'm assuming) that are also devoted TurboTax users.
It's basically filling in the blanks and answering yes/no questions. And if you're unsure of anything, detailed help is just a click away!
What's great about it: SUPER easy, fast and pretty much idiot proof

Turbo Tax just gets better and better. It is ALMOST painless to file now......still want to see tax reform SOON!

I had to load the software twice as I was almost finished with my return when I encountered an unknown error and lost everything I had done. This software also had an annoying glitch that would not let me scroll down to the end of the page unless I clicked on forms and them clicked back again to the easy step page. It took me much longer to complete than in previous years. I recommend you build in an automatic save feature that would prevent a complete redo like I encountered. This is the second year in a row I have not been as happy with TurboTax as in years past. I have used your software for years.

Easy to use, and gets you all the money, credits and deductions you may not have gotten otherwise

Great service

This is the second year in a row that I've had trouble with the Tax Exempt status of my childcare provider. Took a little work with customer support to work around it but we got it done and were able to e-file state and federal.
What's great about it: All around great product for W2 and small business income.
What's not so great: Trouble with Tax Exempt status of childcare
