Pretty amazing piece of software. I didn't even know you could do half the things you could as far as taxes were concerned. I feel confident that this software allowed me to get my maximum refund possible.
What's great about it: The step-by-step GPS mode.
What's not so great: It knows...everything...

This is my 8th year of using Turbo Tax. I have recommended it to several friends and at least one of them has started using it. I find it easy and straightforward and will certainly be back with you next year.
I haven't worked on my estimated taxes for next year but so far I haven't encountered the section that assists me with that like in the past, but I'll keep looking.
For some reason it didn't accept my pin #s from last year so had to get new ones from the IRS. Not a big deal but was curious why that occured.

What's great about it: Makes it easy for us "lunk heads"
What's not so great: Couple of things I had some problems with that I don't recall seeing in past.

I have been using Turbo Tax since 2008 to do our family's reutrns. It saves me time and money and I am able to do them in the privacy of my own home.
What's great about it: Ability to control and perform my own tax returns

great to use if you have a basic tax situation and you understand some accounting basics
much cheaper and faster than an accountant
What's great about it: easier to understand than years past
What's not so great: hard to understand foreign tax info
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Use TurboTax if you understand taxes but need some extra help. It guides you through the process of a necessary task that can be very frustrating without the help of this great tool. The comparison from the prior year being right there on each review section is fantastic as a check.

I've used TT for many years and knowing that I have it saves me from dreading doing my taxes every year. The step-by-step makes sure I look for new things for changes that have happened in my circumstances. It's easy to save a copy of my return to disk and print it also. I like having both. E-filing makes it so easy.
What's great about it: The software carries all my info from last year saves so much time and helps make sure I don't forget items.

Shocking to fiind out what I've been missing

This year's return turned out to be a breeze AND there's a refund I didn't expect!!! I've been suspicious of e-filing in the past, but decided to take a chance. Although, I'm still suspicious until I get the check in hand, this year's tax effort was nothing compared to previous years.

What's great about it: EEEEEasy to go through. Takes the resentment towards a thieving government and puts it on the back burner...for a while,
What's not so great: TurboTax revealing what forms I haven't been supplied with.
