Greatest Helper For Taxes

I enjoy doing taxes with the program
What's great about it: It was quite simplete to evaluate taxes due based on changes in IRA contribitions for example
What's not so great: The interview is somewhat cumbersome but is certainly comprehensive

Better than ever

I have been pretty lazy about tax returns in the past few years. I am semi-retired, @ 72 years old and now have to worry about annuities, 401s, RMDs , etc. Turbotax walked me through it flawlessly. I am still working part-time from home and Will probably itemize next year. All of the information I gained from Turbotax will be a big help in setting things up to retain receipts and records for next year.
What's great about it: Lots of help and good explanations. Lots of internal checks to keep from omitting pertinent data
What's not so great: Lot of stuff that I didn't use, but it gave me great plans for next year

Lifesaver!

The most helpful part for me was the Q&A section where other folks asked questions I also wanted to ask - and answers were provided! Made it much easier. Also, very easy to navigate thru TT - almost like a workable flowchart. And I like the definitive TT statement regarding "Accuracy" of information filed. Makes one feel at ease. The eFile aspect of TT is the icing on the cake. I have used TT to file my taxes for several years, and will continue to use it in the future!
What's great about it: Q&A section shows real (and relative) issues from others. Can relate to concerns other filers. Resources are endless.

I have used this for years, and feel sure that I am getting all the money back that I can What's better than that!
What's great about it: Easy to use, Makes sure you have your deductions straight
What's not so great: secondary forms are a little difficult to fill out

Estimated taxes frustration

It would not allow me to do State estimate payments because it assumed the withhold was more than enough to cover tax liability. Since I'm fully retired there is no earned income or withhold any longer. Need to look at process of handling transition years.

I used another program for the first time in many years, it had not nearly the features turbo tax does, and no explanations. I couldnt tell if my returns were sent, and could not access them after completion. I wont use any other program again.
What's great about it: easy to use
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This package is easier to use and clearer in its questions every year. My one problem is that tthe PA state return is still somewhat confusing. We need to file 2 state returns, and that process could be explained more clearly.
What's great about it: more efficient and clearer every year
What's not so great: still need to do some hand-work on PA return
