I have used TT for over 15 years and am comfortable using it. to complete my return. It is comprehensive and fairly easy to use. Love it!
What's great about it: Comprehensive, easy to use, Help function very useful
What's not so great: No significant cons

Love being able to add a deduction I'd overlooked without reworking a whole bunch of forms. Can still remember the agony of that pre TurboTax process.

not sure I will use this next year, this was my first time, the extra fee for filing state makes it more than I usually pay.......not a value in the long run
What's great about it: Fields let you edit easily
What's not so great: took 7 to 8 tries to get it right

Have used Turbo Tax for years. Love the It's Deductible portion - we donate to charity often and it's so helpful to just enter my donationsand get a realistic amount to claim. I was able to do all my taxes in under an hour!
What's great about it: Walks me thu all forms

Best Ever

I have used TurboTax since 1994. I thought it was great then but now it is awesome...not perfect...but awesome. It has always been a question & answer format but 2012 seems like you are in a tax preparer's office with a person. I had one really complex problem I wasn't sure of how to answer. I have been audited by IRS in the past and I did not want to go through that again. One call to customer support and the gentleman had my problem solved. He was very nice; took time to explain every step of the process to me while showing it to me on the form; thus assuring me that I could do the same thing next year!! I'd call that excellent service that waiting on hold for 50 minutes was worth it.
What's great about it: Simplist format I have used. Just answer the questions.
What's not so great: None with TurboTax. Plenty with IRS!

The transfering information from year to year is helpful.
The error checking and resolution process seems to have been improve greatly.
I appreciate the offer of audit protection.
