Not much, if any, value for the price

Anything out of the ordinary, TT may be able to handle it, but it takes a lot of searching through the program to find out how. Of course, it is always asking you if you want to upgrade or pay extra for an additional service. By the time one paid for an upgrade and all of the extras, one could pay for a real live person to do one's taxes.
One particular pet peeve I have is that even though I filled out all of the information for direct deposit of my federal refund, NONE of this information was carried over to my state return and I had to open my state tax worksheet to get this information to appear on the state tax return. Why wouldn't this simply carry over or why wouldn't TT at least ask?!
The program takes forever to open even when it's not updating.
I've never been a fan of Intuit and TT isn't about to make me one. The only thing it has going for it is a lack of competition.
I willing to be this is the last year it's compatible with Windows XP.
What's great about it: great for basic, simple tax returns
What's not so great: just about everything else, including price

I've used TurboTax over ten years and never had a problem. Used to do my own taxes by hand and now do them in a fourth of the time.
What's great about it: ease of use, walk you through every step
What's not so great: none I can think of

Great Program for Years

Couldn't ask for more for a tax preparation program.
Work in the tax business and have used this program for years. Started because of parent's difficulty with calculating amount of Social Security that was taxable. Father was spending a week to calculate. Turbo Tax did it instantly.

What's great about it: Walks you through step by step. Professional assistance is available if needed. Lots of hyper-links if needed.

Great program. The only improvement I believe it needs is in the last pages. It would be more logical if you had a selection in a window:

Easier than We had Hoped

Make it easy.

This product is much easier than reading through the old instruction manuals that came with the 1040 and 1040A forms in the past. All of the forms are in the package and all required information is explained and requested by the program. No need to seek outside reference materials. Also aids in gathering data for state forms even if one is not e-filing them.
What's great about it: When in doubt explainations are a key stroke away.
What's not so great: Some sections required some deeper thought to complete. Though it was often the W-2 form that was causing my confusion.
