Great Product

We have used TurboTax since 2000 and have always been pleased with our results. It is easy to use and with the auto guides I never worry about missing anything. Thanks TurboTax!

Overall Turbotax is a great and cost effective way to process returns.
What's great about it: system prompts and easy to understand questions
What's not so great: needed a place to provide further explanation if the assumption made by the software was not correct

Program froze

down loaded app and went to pay and would not take but that was my bad. wrong card info. so went to TurboTax web site purchased full version. Filed my fathers return , no problem. Went to fill my return the program would not respond. was told to "back out" but could not access the back button. Still had my return from the app download and was able to purchase another version of Turbo Tax so it cost twice the amount to file my taxes. also the program that failed is still stuck on my computer. Been a long time user of Turbo Tax but could be my last year.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: hard to return and fix

Love Turbo Tax - makes this process easier. First time for AMT so the explanations and detail computation were helpful.
What's great about it: Fast, easy straight forward
What's not so great: Filing fee for the State return. This should be free.

Still a great product

Turbo Tax continues to be a great product to use for doing your taxes. I have used Turbo Tax for the past 10 years, at least, and it continues to meet expectations to make filing taxes simple and easy. I have always used the easy guide because I am paranoid I will miss something and it's good to go through each category so you can see a comparison to previous year. It would be nice to have the option of seeing the past couple of years but that may be difficult due to the many tax changes. Even though the easy guides is great, it is also frustrating in that it makes you go through all categories even though most do not apply to you. I wish that you could have the option of selecting the applicable categories with turbo tax having enough intelligence when looking at the previous year to see if you didn't select a category you should have.
Look forward to using TurboTax again next year.

2012 Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. No other alternative meets my filing and record keeping needs better than Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: thorough and easy to understand
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Never Again

For over twenty years, I wasted time and money, using the popular tax prep company. Then, after my divorce, a friend recommended Turbo Tax. Doing my taxes is no longer scary and I'm not wasting hundreds of dollars each year.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: none
