Happy with TurboTax

I used a competitor's software for 2011 return and it proved to be a mistake. I went back to Turbo-Tax for 2012 and was glad I did. They walk you through every possible scenario and explained it when something came up that I did not understand.

On Par with Tax Preparers

TurboTax was easy to use and was on par with a professional tax service. The refund was similar to our last refund when we filed using a professional tax service. There were tips to explain what to do each step of the way. We highly recommend this software.

Low Cost Tax Filing

Easy to use even with no tax experience; just plug in the numbers and answer straight forward questions. The e-file for federal and state returns is very convenient.

We have been using turbo tax for years and LOVE it! Our tax situation is simple so turbo tax is perfect for us.
What's great about it: the step by step questions
What's not so great: a lot of the walk through questions don't apply to us, our taxes are simple

More work than I expected

Did get online help from UlyssisAriesP. He was very patient and helpful and spent an hour working through our issue. He went step by step even when the question was pretty stupid, like "how to I exit out?" But, when you're unsure of a question, the program was not as helpful. The live help was the best.

What's not so great: If you're unsure, it's too easy to make a mistake
