Makes taxes less taxing.

Overall it was quite easy to use the software and was helpful in guiding me and for providing some answers to tax questions via it's built in help and the online Q&A forum. Adding a royalty that has no address was a bit frustrating but that could be the tax law itself and not the program. An undo or revert to last save option would be helpful. Obviously the e-file price for state is a bit step for what it involves, though what can you do, my return is just slightly too complex for the free options that some states such as CA offer and so unless I want to mail it in this close to the due date it's convience I'm paying for and thus paying a premium for it. I've used TurboTax for years now and it seems to do a good job so I recommend it if you need it.
What's great about it: Simple interface, easy to read, can find similar tax questions and answers from other users
What's not so great: Using forms directly is a bit confusing, difficult to enter royalties that don't have an address

Overall, very concise and complete. Like filling out a questionnaire. They even made it easy to report taxes for two states!
What's great about it: Easy, easy
What's not so great: One area was a little confusing and I felt it was too late to contact support
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

didn't like the changes this year

Ran error check and it found something. In years past you provided a link that took you back to the section in which the error occurred. This year's software did not offer it. I had to manually go back and find the section. WHERE is the save to PDF? Normally after I print my return, I save a PDF file of my return for future use. I can't find it now. Disappointing.
What's great about it: Still pretty intuitive
What's not so great: Where are the links and save to pdf options

Foreclosure
on April 15, 2013

Your foreclosure section asked if I had a foreclosure..which I did...however, my home was NOT sold, was only taken back by the bank and so far I only have a 1099-a, not a 1099-c. Therefore TT kept marking this as an error over and over and over again until I finally just deleted the house completely because I could not enter a "sale date." So why even have the question..."did you have a foreclosure in 2012?" This is my 6th year using TT and the last 2 years have been a pain.
What's great about it: Like the control overall of seeing my return
What's not so great: The foreclosure section did not work correctly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Very easy and efficient

Very efficient and comprehensive, appreciate the audit risk and other analyses. Thank you for making taxes easier. Two minor suggestions: 1. "Back" key sometimes returns to beginning of last section. It would be more intuitive if it returned to the exact previous screen. 2. The introductions to the "other" categories could be clearer. For example, "Following are additional types of income/expenses. Most people will select Continue..." would be clearer as "Following are additional types of income/expenses. These items do not apply to most people. If none apply to you, select Continue..."
What's great about it: Liked the clear explanations - the redundancy was helpful in confirming that I was making the right choices.
What's not so great: The introductions to the "other" categories were missing a clarifying phrase.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
