Filing made easy

This is my 3d year using Turbo Tax. It's easy to use and fast. E-filing is easy and secure.
What's great about it: Overall return preparation time was about an hour. Turbo Tax walked me through the entire process.
What's not so great: Surprised that companion care costs for my 81 year old mother with dementia was not deductible.

Another tax year bit the dust with TurboTax

I use TurboTax every year. I make taxes not painful at all. It IS a little TOO designed for it walking you through the taxes in ITS order rather than a useful order, but that is life. Tax forms often come with interest AND Captital gains AND dividends. Turbo Tax make you enter then in different phases which isn't optimal. BUT its "this is what you had last year" makes everything else moot -- it is SOOOO useful!! I DO wish sometimes it would explain WHY taxes do no change when I enter numbers (why do my advisor fees NOT impact my taxes??) but that is life...
What's great about it: Input last year history seamlessly. Generally just does the right thing
What's not so great: Had to fight it to do things MY way. Not so good at 1098-T.

It was quick and easy. I got a little confused in the end when it ask for the school district county code. I am not sure why this information was required.
What's great about it: the help and explanation
