TurboTax = Stress Free Filing

I've been a TurboTax user for several years now and I find it to be the only way to go for self preparation of your taxes. I love the fact that it checks for mistakes, Offers clear instructions and online help from tax professionals. I'm a fan!

Makes it easy

I've been using Turbotax for years now. It's great that every year it pulls up my former year and uses it as comparison. I don't think I would be able to follow the paper tax form anymore. I really like having the program to do all the calculations. I always thought some of the instructions on the paper form were confusing and I'd always stress I did something wrong..
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: be nice to understand better why my numbers are different year to year

Turbotax is so easy to use with interview-style entry of taxes. Love having an electronic copy of my taxes. I also like to print out the detailed version of my tax return, I review the calculation worksheets to see the details of my income and expenses. This is still the fastest and cheapest method for getting my tax return accurately completed. There is one thing that changed that threw me off, sales tax entry. Last year I calculated total sales tax from all of my receipts (lots of work) and was able to enter that value directly into the form. This year it didn't let me do that. It had a default sales tax value and an area to enter "large" purchases. Unfortunately, your sales tax "Type" pull-down list did not include purchases such as furniture, major appliances, etc. You need to have a more extensive list.
What's great about it: Ease of computer entry.
What's not so great: Sales tax entry changed.

I really like the program. It's easy to do and guides you through all the little things you wouldn't think of on your own especially when you get to be forgetful like me.I have been using Turbo Tax since it came out for home use. It's great!
What's great about it: As usual the program was easy to follow and fun to do but nothing like waiting for the last minute to do it

Avoid Indecipherable Directions Of The IRS

This was the first year I used TurboTax. I've been doing my own tax returns for 49 years and after the TurboTax experience I'll never do another one myself again. Hopefully I will still be around so that I will have to file a return, but I will use TurboTax to do that most annoying job. The people that put together the IRS instruction booklets for filling out 1040's should be charged with aggravated criminal frustrating and annoyance (acf&a). Thanks be to TurboTax for eliminating the need to put up with IRS style aggravation, frustration and annoyance.

The carry forward data process is great, the instructions and links make simple to do and I like that I can try out different options and use the step by step or forms option to entere data. Thanks for you your work to make the tax process easier to complete.
