The Nightmare Is Over Again For Another Year

Turbo Tax is easy to maneuver and it doesn't take as long as you would expect it too. The key thing is to have all your records and papers handy. But you don't need to have any real understanding of the allowable deductions and tax laws as everything is reviewed for you, step by step. Just fill in the blanks and answer some basis questions. I'll be back next year!
What's great about it: The process was methodical and easy to follow.
What's not so great: Having to do it regardless!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Cost effective

Better than paying someone and giving them all my receipts and account information. Probably cheaper than a person. I wonder if I get the best refund though.

'Turbo Tax asks all the right questions that I would never think of on my own when doing my taxes. When something is questionable, Turbo Tax questions it and gives you the opportunity to double check yourself. It mske you feel confident about knowing your filing correctly.

Eliminates drudgery but...

I wouldn't leave my taxes to a stranger and I wouldn't do my taxes without TurboTax. It remembers my static family personal data and also tax data from last year. What a great time saver! Still, TTax is dense when it comes to certain issues. A lot of us have kids going to college and it has been very confusing regarding who claims what when whose name is on what piece of paper (1099-Q and 1098-T). We taxpayers have to decide whose return things go one and TTAX could be more helpful. I shouldn't have to rely on searches in the community to figure this out.
What's great about it: Remembers your data from last year
What's not so great: Notoriously confusing concerning educational expenses

I knew the results

Eventhough I waited till the last minute to file my tax, Once I hit submit my taxes were on a secure road to Uncle Sam. I have been using this product for as long as I can remember. It is by the the best, all the cpa's and accountants I know use this fopr their own taxes.

Almost There

Half way through the program I was thinking that I will go back to my usual software next year. TurboTax is more expensive and less helpful. The questions feature from other users is a nice touch, but too reliant on opinion rather than fact for something this important.
It would be nice to have the actual IRS instructions linked to line items.
What's great about it: Everything is just a click of a button; if you can read, you canuse this program.
What's not so great: Some items are difficult to find.

fairly easy, I just fear owing the government when I work hard for my $$, you all make it easy when it comes to donations and deduction. thank you for that.
