Overall pretty good would be nice to have better explanations of unique situations. Also would not let us enter a 1099C for student loan cancellation had to include under miscellaneous income.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Could use better explanations and links to irs documents

Great software. I have been using over 25 years. Gives good step by step guidance for completing your return. I am disappointed that some features available in the past are no longer available. Because my return was complex this year, I wanted to check individual federal and state forms instructions sheets. I could not find them through the software, but had to go out of the software to the internet to find and read the specific wording I wanted to make sure I fully understood the requirements.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Provides step by step guidance. Also includes forums for asking questions.
What's not so great: Doesn't contain links to federal / state tax instructions to allow you to check specific wording.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

i would not use turbo tax again they over charged my account when i ordered the deluxe versoin and it took me 4 hrs to complete.

Flaw in the Maryland turbotax software: the questionnaire didn't ask about interest from U.S. obligations, only capital gains from U.S. obligations. Even when you switch to "form view", you could see the line for interest from U.S. obligations, but it was grayed out so you couldn't enter any data.
