easy

One person in our household that had a W2 for years and years did not have one this year (and that person is still on the return -- just not employed)and that was not even a question or a review this year -- I thought that was a little odd --- it should at least be a "are you sure about this?"
What's great about it: I love how it gives you a snapshot of what you did last year --- makes this years so much easier!!!
What's not so great: the state charges me to file

Turbo Tax, Not as Happy this year with the product

My data from last year was not all transferred so I did not see a comparison to my last years return.
The radio buttons did not retain my clicked information I had to re-enter at the review of the return. And I am not sure that they retained the information that last time I clicked.
Some of the information that I typed in where name and address information had to be re-entered at review of the return. Not confident that my return this year is as accurate as other years. Not sure information was retained. It also took a lot longer to do this year because of the double checking and re-entering of information.

Overall turbotax was easy to use and self explanatory, I am not sure how it will be next year as my teenage son will begin work. I did see that section earlier and hopefully it will go smoothly.I did just spend money on a gas hot water heater and I was reminded by turbotax about the energy tax credit and i was able to retrieve my receipt for this before it got filed somewhere hard to find.
What's great about it: covers all the areas that I might have missed, any forms errors etc.
What's not so great: seemed to take longer than last year?

Great Piece Of Software!

I'm sure that this software saves our family at least $250 a year. It asks the same questions as the professional I used 5 years ago.
What's great about it: Easy, accurate, excellent
What's not so great: None that I could locate
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy to use, but too many fees

I have used TuboTax for over 15 years, and find it very easy to use. However, the version I got this year came with free Federal E-filing, but you had to pay for the State program and State E-filing.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Had to pay for state program and state E-filing

even though we owed money, the program is easy to use and there is great support for any questions you may have. It takes you step by step through the whole process.

What's not so great: not easy to access individual entries for quick review...
