Over all TurboTax was easy to use and I felt great with the real time reviews of my entries. I would of liked more information on line iteam on the tax forms however.

Takes the Stress Out!

We are pleased with the continual upgrades made to Turbo Tax. We have been using this program since 1988, and find its ease of use and depth of help menus has increased every year. We would not use any other source ! Keep up the great work !
What's great about it: Interview process keeps it simple for this senior citizen
What's not so great: Little confusing when you look at a form to get back to the interview

Getting better

Two things left me guessing.
1) I had fund management fees for four accounts, but only knew the fee amount for three. I entered the three and skipped over the fourth. When I went back to enter the fee for the fourth, the only way to do so was add it to the sum for the other three shown at the start of the section and type over that sum the new total. Clicking Continue brought up the "enter assets you acquired" window. It was impossible to get to the original fee entry window that allowed entry for each individual fee.
2) I had a K-1 with income of two types. Your instructions were to enter the K-1 as 2 separate K-1s. But do I enter the first income type and then all the other K-1 data, and then on the "second" K-1 the 2nd income type and all the same other data again, or leave that off this time? Clarify your instructions here!
Historically I have always encountered at least one of the #1 above situations. But except for that, the program is great.
What's great about it: Covers things I don't know need covering: better than IRS manuals
What's not so great: Going back to redo or modify still has some booby traps

It's so easy, even I can do it!!!

I cannot say enough good things about TurboTax. It walked me through every thing using Questons & Answers. If you're not sure about something, there is instant help and/or definitions to explain the matter in detail. This year I thought I would definitely owe, but TurboTax walked me through the questions and found deductions that I hadn't thought about...now I'm getting a refund!
What's great about it: It's fast, It's easy... and I got a refund when I thought I'd owe!
What's not so great: Doesn't cook breakfast

2012 tax

had some issue with the efile process which finally seems to have gotten resolved.
What's great about it: most of the question process was good
What's not so great: you lose track where you are and it it hard to look at what has already been inputted

I had fun completing my taxes

I really had fun completing my taxes on my own for the first time. It was really enjoyable and easy. I look forward to doing my taxes again with Turbo Tax!
