problem with paying california efiling fee

I always face the problem with dealing with my ESPP/Options grant at my company using Deluxe edition. If Deluxe is considered the common man's software package, it should include dealing with tax situation dealing with company stock options and ESPP.
Today, I faced paying the CA efiling fee via credit card issue, the system was not giving error, for almost 1 hour, finally I got in at 8:50pm.
What's great about it: overall process
What's not so great: no good ESP/Options support in Delux, that is not fair

Everything I needed

Overall I think it is a great product for person trying to do a somewhat difficult tax return. Saved money by not having to go to a tax return specialist.
What's great about it: Walked me through step by step
What's not so great: Had trouble loading a cd of 2011 return that was originally done on another computer
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Been using turbo-t for over 7 years

Overall I have been really pleased with Turbo-tax. Generally easy to use and even if you wait until the last minute as I do, Turbo gets you through and done on time!
What's great about it: Step by step process, generally easy to use and follow
What's not so great: Some glitches when revisiting forms or sections had to reenter data

What's great about it: i love being able to do it myself, and not be scared im doing it wrong.
What's not so great: i dont really care for the tax thing in general. but this makes it easy

Easier than falling off a log

Turbo tax's step by step procedure is straight forward and easy to follow in most cases. I had some problems interpreting how to respond to some of the PA state return. Absolutely no problem with the Fed return. Answers to my questions were usually just a click or two away. One of my favorite features is being able to see what I did the previous year ... it allows me to ensure that I haven't overlooked something.
As a side note, ItsDeductable has evolved from a very useful tool to an incredibly comprehensive useful tool. Most of my charity is donations of things. When I was doing the estimating on my own I almost always underestimated item values ... not any more.
Finally, I have used TurboTax since it first became available. I've stuck with it for two main reasons ... I trust it and it has evolved such that I can build on previous experiences rather than re-learn from scratch as seems to be the case with many software upgrades.
Bottom line - keep on doing what you're doing and I'm a happy person
What's great about it: Federal Return about as straight forward as a very complex subject can be.
What's not so great: PA State Tax not well explained and some terms are obscure

Turbo Tax

good product. recall my dad anguishing over taxes for a full week with pencil and paper. takes me about 2 hours. the directed input is useful so as to assure nothing is missed. software is sometimes buggy with failures in connection to servers. downloads for updates are long and slow.
What's great about it: walks user through returns so nothing is missed
What's not so great: slow downloads, sometimes doesn't connect to server
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Sometimes the server would be down for a few minutes, but never enough to slow me down. Keep up the good work!
What's great about it: Liked how easy it was to use. This is my second year using TurboTax, and I will never use another program...EVER!
