I like how it gives you suggestions on your list of deductions and the details of deductions. Turbotax is very helpful with everything from entering your tax information to filing your return. Thanks TurboTax!

Overall a good product. My return was very simple so it worked just fine.

Switched from TaxCut to Turbo Tax

I've used TaxCut the past 7 years, wasn't happy with the program last year and decided it was time to swtich. Purchased TurboTax and it was simple to use from start to finish. End results were the same from previous years, Uncle Sam got more of my money, but the process seemed easier.
Only complaint is TurboTax requires you to use their proprietary software for charitable donations. I don't agree with the item valuations, as i believe i probably lost $400 to $600 in deductions.
I will use this software again next year.

Got me through another year's return

I have used this s/w for several years and it has always been a great tool for completing my tax returns. I have used all the versions - online, download, and disk based. They all have given me great results.
What's great about it: Ease of use and quick return completion
What's not so great: Server outage issues when efiling

It is slightly confusing in the end just before you get into filing stage. It should ask specifically which tax you want to file now.
State filing fees should be mentioned upfront.
Filing fee for second state is too high.....

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Survived the tax file

I've been using Turbo tax for 6 years now and I could'nt do my taxes if it wasn't for this software. US Tax Code is not something the average taxpayer can follow, understand or even attempt to. Our government needs to step up and simplify the Tax code and related filing system. Thank you Turbo tax for getting me through another year.
What's great about it: Couldn't do it without intuit
What's not so great: loading updates before you start and if you're filing on last day -- trouble will find you.
