Last Minute - No Problem With Turbo Tax

Even though I wanted until 2 days before the deadline, I quickly got my taxes done thanks to Turbo Tax. It's great that Turbo Tax loads my data from last year.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand, lots of help

2012 Turbotax

Pretty much the same as years past. Having to scroll through all of the sections each time was confusing at first and time consuming. I thought I could pick a efile number and will have to refile with correct numbers. The program did not reveal how much state efiling was until late in the process - could have been at the first screen.
What's great about it: Walked through rather easily
What's not so great: I missed explanation for e-filing and had to resubmit.

Taxes 2011 vs Taxes 2012

I have used Turbotax for a number of years - this is the first year when it thoroughly confused me. I did my return 3 times. The second time, I saved to original file and I still have the same errors. I started the 3rd return and did not import the 2011 return. - mistake #1 - but I wanted to make sure I kept the return clean. After over an hour - I finally got it efiled to Federal and the State of Arkansas.
Now how do I get my return for filing my state. That was to be included on what I paid for Turbo Tax Deluxe!
What's great about it: Taxes went easy enough
What's not so great: Filing got really confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Great Stuff

I have used TurboTax for a number of years now and every year it gets better and better. Filing is easy and everything is broken into easy to understand pieces.
What's great about it: This process keeps things easy and helps you to not miss a beat.
What's not so great: It takes a little while to file everything but is still shorter than the drive, wait and processing at tax place.

Easy Process Once Again

Great product once again - took all the pain out of the preparation and filing process. My only complaint was that when it came time to eFile, the menu was very confusing. Unlike everything else in the program, this step was not intuitive.
What's great about it: Consistent form completion process from last year, program walks you through things very easily.
What's not so great: Time to eFile confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Detailed questions, audit review is great, not long to fill out.
What's not so great: If there were any they wouldn't be the best!

I had a hard time making corrections to itemized deductions form for my home office
What's great about it: Its fairly easy if you can read
What's not so great: Corrections to forms should be easier and take you to the place in TurboTax that asked you those questions not the form

Lessened the Pain

Customer since the beginning and will stay that way. Current and always improving. Tax advice or help from the community or the IRS is a link away. Have not purchased add on services and am some what annoyed by the ads or the placement of step buttons, but have grown used to it. Would and do recommend friends to use TurboTax. The cost is well below service providers and is well worth the time one spends doing their own taxes. I am always confident in the results and have a good record of my taxes with historical and national comparisons.
What's great about it: Tranfers, suggestive points, help and links to same, form or interview method, filing ease
What's not so great: a bit pushy on addons
