Good program overall. Charge for state tax is too high.

Easy, Concise, and generates peace of mind

I've used Turbo Tax for nearly 20 years. I've never had a problem with properly filing my taxes. It's a great program. I've not tried other programs because I'm completely sold on Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax gives me assurance that I'm doing my taxes correctly with their step-by-step instructions

I like the software but my only hangup is that after using for so many years in a row, four now, I would like to think it would be less pricey.
What's great about it: Quick and easy.
What's not so great: No major ones.

TT saved me

I was in the middle of my return and my laptop battery broke connection instantly powered off. To my surprise when I rebooted and started TT it detected that I was in the middle of my taxes and was able to pull the data back in even though I had not save it.
What's great about it: When my computer crashed I did not lose my data

Was great up til the end. Kept kicking me out when trying to pay with a credit card for the state return. VERY frustrating.
What's great about it: step by step easy
What's not so great: would not let me pay with credit card for a LONG time
