Easy as 123

I have used Turbo Tax since 1998 and have always had an easy time of it. It has been getting better every year. I will never use anything else. Thank you for making filing my taxes as easy as 123.
What's great about it: I like how easy to answer questions and get help
What's not so great: nothing

Procrastination

Yes, one of our human tendencies is to put off what we do not like to do. For me - it is taxes. I do not enjoy doing them even though I know I am getting money back. Not logical, but that's the way I am. TurboTax has saved me year after year. Once I get started it pushes me to finish - and makes it easy to wrap everything up and get this darn chore over with! Thank you again!
What's great about it: Got the taxes finished in time.
What's not so great: Perhaps, a little more and detailed online help.

Excellent product. This is the first time I used a commercial tax program. This year happened to be a year when I made more money than usual AND sold numerous stock assets. In short, the most complicated tax filing I have ever had to do; but TurboTax made it easy.
What's great about it: Excellent guidance through the process.
What's not so great: Once the product determined I was subject to AMT, the explanations were not quite as clear. I used the Deluxe version.

Easy Entry and Use

Over the years Turbo-tax has continued to improve this product with the latest IRS updates. Previously before using Turbo-tax, I took Accounting and Federal Tax courses and read many IRS publications just to collect and enter my yearly tax info for filing our 1040 forms. This was a very labor intensive process. With the Turbo-tax product our yearly Tax return preparation has evolved into a Week of gathering and creating records for a week-end process.
What's great about it: Easy to Use for entry and update... no problems.
What's not so great: Some redundant questions instead of auto populate.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Changes changes changes

There was a change for determining what withdrawals from your 401 are subject to the 10% penalty and which are not. In the past I would enter the amount of my monthly payments and it would automatically multiply that amount and subtract it from the total amount (box 1, on the 1099R) paid out for the year. If the amounts were the same, then there was no penalty. This year, it asked for the total amount (equal distributions) not subject to the 10% penalty and subtracted it from the total withdrawn. The first time through I entered the monthly amount and almost all of my distribution was determined to be subject to the 10% penalty, which it wasn't. After only entering the monthly amount for so many years, it was automatic for me to do it this year too. Fortunately I realized my mistake when the 10% was much more than it should have been.
What's great about it: It was pretty easy, as usual and I wasn't too disappointed
What's not so great: There was a change this year that wasn't explained

easy program

it was so easy to file My 23 year old daughters taxes . Your program put in the information from last year so all we had to do was update. done in minutes not hours !

Turbo Tax has done my taxes for me for years. Using Turbo Tax I know my taxes will be accurate. The software walks you through every step so you don't miss a thing. Importing last years information for me is a great time saver that makes me feel like I'm appreciated as a returning customer. Thank you for removing the stress out of doing my taxes.
What's great about it: So easy to use!
What's not so great: No cons..
