Turbo Charged My Most Dreaded Task

I am a big tax procrastinator; grew up helping my accountant father service his clients during tax season; always ended up doing mine last or filing an extension. Turbo Tax makes it all doable in a couple hours. Doing your taxes is a good time to take a look at the past year and reassess how things are going, and I feel good about the money I save by doing it myself.
What's great about it: downloading investment data took what used to take hours into seconds
What's not so great: though I loved the ease I think there can be better summary recaps of downloaded info

OK but not great

Wasted a lot of time figuring out how turbo tax came up with incorrect basis in my IRAs. Due to income limits had recharacterized part of a Roth to traditional last year. No easy way to enter this. If had done pen and paper, would have been no problem.
Also, did not do Georgia State through Turbo Tax since read on line they still haven't properly integrated retirement income exclusion.
Finally, have to click through too many sales pitches at the end.
What are the chances this will go to website with these comments?
What's great about it: calculations; helps avoid missing things
What's not so great: If anything even a little unusual, would have been easier to do pen and paper

good software

can doing taxes be made more simple since it is necessary to do them........i like turbo tax but for an old lady, some things still make me scream!
What's great about it: mostly simple to follow through
What's not so great: some sections a little complex especially when it comes to mutiple states

Return my money

Good software overall, however had a couple of issues. First the software stated no errors, then returned to print off state return and was stopped with a few errors. All were minor errors, but was not identified until after starting the printing process of the state paper filing (after several tries). The second was difficulty e-filing federal and paper filing state and local returns. This required selecting paper for both and only printing state, then going back and e-filing federal later. Should be much easier then this to both e-file federal and paper file state at the same time. Also the print out provided federal 1040, which was not needed for the State return. This was very confusing.
What's great about it: software was easy to use and e-filing was easy
What's not so great: printing off state files for paper filing was difficult

Turbo Tax found extra deductions I didn't know I could deduct and reminded me of deductions I needed to take..What could be better !!!

Could be a little easier

Just as I was about to file, when I was at my wits end; I was brought to a screen to purchase Turbo Tax. I was using the CD I had purchased from the store! I did not realize (nor was it easy to figure out) that I needed to scroll down to choose the continue key.
What's great about it: Lots of guidance
What's not so great: everything was not displayed without scrolling

Another year, another good return!

I have been a turbo tax filer for many years, and have convinced my daughters that this is also the way to go. I have this big pile of paper on my desk and over the course of a couple of evenings, I let TurboTax lead me through the pile to the eventual end. I always have a couple of pieces of paper left over and am able to query help and find out if they are important. I particularly like the review, and comparison to previous years. It makes me confident that I am following the rules. It is easy to recommend.
What's great about it: I liked the fact that TurboTax had the updates the government kept changing, and I knew that they would be accurate.
What's not so great: I really do not enjoy the process, and the anxiety of hoping I have all the proper documentation.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
